Illusions Gold Fastpitch is aware of the unfortunate and unacceptable event that took place this past Saturday, October 24th, at the Sugar Land Imperial Park Complex.
We want to state unequivocally that our organization does not condone this type of behavior under any circumstances. The individuals involved have been permanently dismissed from our program and the team is no longer associated with Illusions Gold Fastpitch.
Our hearts and prayers are with the families who are currently receiving medical care, as well as with all of the young athletes who witnessed this traumatic event. We would also like to thank the individuals that quickly stepped in to render aid and help gain control of the situation. Youth sports are meant to be a safe, positive, and developmental environment for our children—there is simply no room for violence or hostility of any kind in our game.
In response, leadership is directly communicating with all of our teams, coaches, parents, and representatives across Illusions Gold Fastpitch. We are reiterating our strict program ethics and behavioral standards to ensure this community remains a safe space rooted in respect, integrity, and sportsmanship both on and off the field.
