Illusions Gold Fastpitch Organization Standards

Our goal is to foster athletic excellence, skill development, character building, and exemplary sportsmanship. All players, parents, and guardians are expected to represent Illusions Gold Fastpitch with dignity and respect at all times.

Players

  1. Give 100% effort during every practice, game, and team activity. Hustle on and off the field at all times.
  2. Negative attitudes, arguing, backtalk, and inappropriate social media posts will not be tolerated and will result in immediate disciplinary action by the head coach.
  3. Displaying poor sportsmanship or disrespectful behavior toward coaches, players, parents, umpires, or opponents undermines the program and is strictly prohibited.
  4. No arguing, fighting, profanity, or throwing of equipment for any reason out of anger. If this happens, you will be removed from the game.
  5. Maintain personal responsibility for gear and equipment.
  6. Players must wear official, unaltered uniforms according to team standards for all games and events. Tuck shirts in, be in the right uniform, look sharp.
  7. Stay engaged in the game and support teammates from the dugout. You represent your team and are expected to be a great teammate.
  8. Strive to win as a team. Focus on continuous improvement, learning fundamental softball skills, and achieving team goals.
  9. Only positive comments and cheers are permitted toward both opponents and teammates.
  10. Show respect to all umpires, opponents, coaches, and fans. You are responsible for your own attitude, choices, and actions at all times.

Parents

  1. Our families are the heart of the team; we expect our families to behave in a manner that sets a high standard and represents our organization's sportsmanship and professionalism.
  2. Encourage and cheer for the team as well as your daughter.
  3. Model self-control and positive sportsmanship. Respect umpires, opposing players, coaches, and spectators.
  4. Never engage in physical or verbal altercations. If a situation escalates, parents are expected to walk away and represent the organization appropriately.
  5. Do not attempt to address or resolve conflicts with other spectators yourself. If an issue arises, please notify a tournament director or your coaching staff immediately so they can address the situation appropriately.
  6. Parents must refrain from coaching or shouting instructions to players during games or practices. Unauthorized sideline coaching may result in reduced playing time for the athlete.
  7. If a member of the coaching staff requests that a parent or spectator step back or move away from the dugout/backstop area, immediate compliance is required. Maintaining clear boundaries ensures our players and coaches can focus entirely on the game.
  8. Support your coaching staff. While you may not always agree with every decision, we require our parents and guardians to show active support for the coaches. Continual second-guessing, negative commentary in the stands, or public criticism harms team morale and distracts our players. Disruptive behavior from parents or guardians will not be tolerated and may impact a player’s playing time or status on the team.
  9. Emotionally charged post-game conversations rarely yield good outcomes. Except for urgent safety matters, we require a "24-Hour Rule": parents must wait 24 hours after the final game concludes before reaching out to the head coach or parent representative. This cooling-off period allows time for objective reflection and ensures our communications remain professional and productive.
  10. Hostile, aggressive, or negative communications (via email, text message, social media posting, or in person) directed toward coaching staff or families will not be tolerated.
  11. Dugout and field access is strictly limited to rostered players and rostered coaches. Parents and spectators are not permitted in the dugout or on the field during pre-game warm-ups or games unless requested by a coach (e.g., in the event of an emergency or injury).
  12. Illusions Gold Fastpitch is a competitive travel softball program. Roster positions, defensive placements, batting lineups, and game time are earned continuously through effort, performance, sportsmanship, and practice execution. All tactical and lineup decisions rest solely with the coaching staff.
  13. Coaches will discuss only your child. Discussions regarding another player's playing time, positioning, or performance are strictly off-limits.
  14. Any verbal or physical conflicts between players and their parents or guardians will not be tolerated and may result in suspension or dismissal of those involved.
  15. Everyone is expected to be respectful to other teams, coaches, and parents. Remember that you represent Illusions Gold Fastpitch and are therefore expected to conduct yourself in a manner that reflects well on the organization.
  16. Spectators are prohibited from consuming alcohol during Illusions Gold Fastpitch games. Illusions Gold Fastpitch coaches and leadership reserve the right to immediately remove any individual from the venue if observed using alcohol or displaying public intoxication during an Illusions Gold Fastpitch game.

Respect the players, the coaches, the umpires, the spectators, and the game of softball. Do not ever engage in verbal or physical altercations while at a youth sporting event. Parents, be role models for our players at all times. Walk away from escalating situations. Promote self-control and help manage our stands to Illusions Gold standards.

The Illusions Gold Fastpitch organization reserves the right to enforce these standards to maintain a safe, positive, and competitive environment. Both coaches and Illusions Gold leadership have the authority to impose suspensions when needed. Any parent or player who violates our Illusions Gold Fastpitch Organization Standards can be suspended or permanently removed from the Illusions Gold Fastpitch Organization.

A parent or guardian must sign and date this document on behalf of both the parent or guardian and the player. Failure to sign and return this document to the head coach will prohibit the player’s participation on the team.
